About the Lancia Stratos Alitalia #14 S. Munari / M. Mannucci Winners Rally Monte Carlo 1975 Minichamps 1:18

TL;DR: Minichamps' 1:18 diecast Lancia Stratos recreates Sandro Munari and Mario Mannucci's Alitalia #14 car, winner of the 1975 Rally Monte Carlo. The sealed body carries the Stratos' famous wedge silhouette and Alitalia livery in crisp, unbroken detail.

The Stratos was purpose-built for rallying from the outset, its low wedge shape and Ferrari-sourced V6 a radical departure from the road-car-based rally machinery that came before it, and Munari's Monte Carlo win with Alitalia backing stands among the model's most famous results.

A Wedge Silhouette Held True by a Sealed Body

The Stratos's dramatically short wheelbase and wedge-nosed profile depend on precise, unbroken lines to read correctly, and this sealed one-piece casting holds that shape rigidly true while running the Alitalia green, white and red livery continuously across the doors and bonnet. Zinc alloy diecast gives the model genuine weight at this scale, and the fixed-body construction favours the livery and silhouette accuracy that this genuinely famous rally car demands, prioritising that over interior access most collectors of this piece would value less regardless.

A Foundational Piece for a Rally Collection

At roughly 20 to 21cm the Stratos's short wheelbase means it takes up less shelf length than most rally cars of comparable status, a practical bonus for collectors with limited space. Paired with later Alitalia-liveried Stratos entries or period rivals from the same WRC classic era, it anchors a display around one of rallying's most influential purpose-built designs. The wedge-shaped bonnet's flat panels benefit from an occasional soft-brush dusting pass.
