Otto Mobile works almost exclusively in resin, and the FD2's flat panels and sharp creases suit that process well. The cast body holds a single continuous shutline running from front wing to bootlid, since this piece has a sealed body rather than opening panels. That fixed construction lets the caster hold tighter tolerances along the door line than a diecast tool typically manages, and it means every surface detail, from the Mugen bonnet vents to the deep front splitter, is moulded rather than assembled from separate stamped parts. Lift it from the box and the resin feels lighter than an equivalent diecast Civic, a trait worth knowing before comparing weight against zinc-alloy alternatives on the same shelf.
