About the Citroen Berlingo Police Municipale v1 White Blue Norev 1:43

TL;DR: Norev's 1:43 diecast Citroen Berlingo reproduces the Police Municipale livery version 1 in white and blue. The body is a sealed one-piece casting, with printed police markings and a roof light bar carrying the model's identifying detail across the MPV's boxy panels.

French municipal police forces run distinct liveries from national Gendarmerie or Police Nationale fleets, and this v1 Berlingo captures one specific marking arrangement used by local authorities.

Sealed Diecast Livery Precision on the Municipale Berlingo

With the body sealed as one casting, Norev holds the Police Municipale markings, the blue reflective striping and municipal crest detail, with clean, sharp edges across the Berlingo's flat side panels. The zinc alloy construction gives real weight to this compact model, and the roof-mounted light bar is rendered with enough definition to read clearly even at 1:43. As with other service liveries, print quality is the deciding factor here, and this casting holds the graphics without smearing or misalignment across the panel lines.

Police Municipale in French Local Law Enforcement

Police Municipale forces operate at the local, municipal level in France, distinct from the national Gendarmerie or Police Nationale, and typically handle community-level enforcement and traffic duties. Their liveries and vehicle choices, including practical MPVs like the Berlingo, reflect that community-focused, everyday policing role rather than specialist tactical units.

Distinguishing Between Municipale Variants

Since Norev has issued at least two Police Municipale marking layouts on this same Berlingo casting, collectors building a complete French service fleet benefit from displaying both versions side by side to highlight the marking differences. At 1:43, both fit easily on one shelf, and the sealed bodies require only routine dusting to keep the printed graphics crisp.
