Homologation specials rarely looked as purposeful as the 75 Turbo Evoluzione, a saloon widened and flared specifically to satisfy racing rules rather than showroom taste.

The body here is a fixed, one-piece diecast shell, and on a subject defined almost entirely by its exterior modifications, that's the right way to present it. The widened wheel-arch flares, side skirts and rear spoiler all sit as continuous moulded surfaces, with the wheel-arch join lines scribed cleanly rather than assembled from separate panels. Zinc alloy gives the boxy saloon shape real substance in the hand, and the black finish shows off the creased flare lines without the paint depth issues a lighter colour can sometimes reveal. Panel lines around the boot and door edges hold tight tolerances typical of a well-tooled sealed casting.
