About the Alfa Romeo 75 Turbo Evoluzione Red MCG 1:18

TL;DR: MCG's 1:18 diecast Alfa Romeo 75 Turbo Evoluzione in Red is a sealed one-piece cast body of the flared homologation saloon. New model, new box. Red gives the Evoluzione's aggressive bodywork the boldest presence of the three-colour range.

Where white reveals surfacing and black hides it, red does something different entirely, giving the Evoluzione's flared arches genuine visual drama on the shelf.

Red Paint Over the Sealed Evoluzione Shell

This casting shares its sealed, one-piece diecast construction with its black and white siblings, and the flared arches, side skirts and boot spoiler again run as continuous moulded surfaces with no hinge lines to interrupt them. Red is a demanding colour to apply well, and here the paint carries real depth under direct light, catching the creased flare lines without washing out the shape the way a poorly finished red sometimes does. Zinc alloy construction gives the boxy saloon real substance in the hand, and the moulded panel lines around the wheel arches and doors hold tight, even tolerances consistent with the rest of the range. With no opening panels, the entire evaluation rests on bodywork fidelity and paint quality, and this red example arguably makes the strongest first impression of the three colours on offer.

Completing a Three-Colour Evoluzione Set

Displayed with the black and white versions, this red example completes a genuine three-colour collecting set built around a single homologation special, a satisfying way to show variety without chasing unrelated subjects. Standing alone, it also holds its own against other flamboyant 1980s Italian performance saloons.
