About the BMW M4 #9 B. Spengler BMW Team RBM DTM 2014 Minichamps 1:43

TL;DR: Minichamps' 1:43 diecast reproduces car #9, Bruno Spengler's BMW M4 for Team RBM in the 2014 DTM season, the year the M4 coupe replaced the M3 as BMW's touring car entry. Sealed diecast construction keeps the new bodywork's aero details sharp. A generational handover documented in miniature.

BMW retired the M3 from DTM after 2013, and this #9 casting shows what replaced it: Bruno Spengler's M4 for Team RBM, wearing the new coupe's bodywork in the championship's 2014 season.

Capturing a New DTM Generation at 1:43

The M4's silhouette differs from the outgoing M3's in ways a diecast tool has to get right to feel authentic to the era: a longer bonnet line and reworked aero package specific to the new coupe's DTM homologation, none of which Minichamps simply carries over from earlier M3 castings in the same range. The sealed 1:43 construction keeps the door graphics and #9 numbering flat and crisp, and Team RBM's livery, distinct from the RMG and Schnitzer colours seen on other BMW DTM castings from nearby seasons, prints cleanly across the bodywork.

The M4's Handover From the M3 in BMW's DTM Effort

BMW switched its DTM entry from the M3 to the M4 coupe for the 2014 season, following the road-car range's own move to the M4 nameplate for two-door variants while the M3 name stayed with the four-door saloon. That change meant an entirely new aerodynamic package and bodywork for the touring car programme. Bruno Spengler, by then an established BMW driver following his 2012 title, campaigned this new M4 for Team RBM that season.

An Exact Handover Point in Miniature

Displayed beside an M3 from BMW's earlier DTM seasons, this M4 documents the exact handover point in the manufacturer's touring car programme.
