About the Peugeot RC Pique Black Solido 1:18

TL;DR: Solido's 1:18 diecast Peugeot RC Pique in Black reproduces the 2000 Peugeot RC concept car, an angular design study built to showcase Peugeot's motorsport-inspired styling direction. Mid-tier diecast construction suits a subject rarely found outside dedicated concept-car collections.

Concept cars almost never reach diecast in this kind of detail, which makes Solido's Peugeot RC a genuinely uncommon find for anyone chasing design-study subjects.

Reproducing a Design Study Rather Than a Road Car

The RC's angular bodywork and exposed carbon-style detailing exist purely to make a styling statement, without the compromises a production car has to accept, and Solido's tooling embraces that boldness rather than softening it for easier manufacture. Black paint suits the concept's aggressive creases and sharp panel breaks particularly well, letting light catch each edge distinctly. Doors and panels open on typical mid-tier diecast hinges, and the cabin, where visible, reflects the concept's stripped-back, function-first presentation rather than a conventional road-car interior.

A Genuine Rarity for Concept-Car Collectors

Peugeot built the RC as a pure design and engineering showcase rather than anything destined for production, which means most people only ever saw it at motor shows or in period press coverage. That obscurity is exactly the appeal for a collector building a shelf around concept and show cars, a category most mainstream diecast ranges simply skip. Paired with the related Carreau version from the same programme, this Black RC becomes part of a genuinely uncommon two-car concept study most collections never get the chance to assemble.
