About the Porsche 911 964 Turbo Bad Boys Black Minichamps 1:18

TL;DR: This Minichamps 1:18 diecast Porsche 911 964 Turbo, finished in black under the Bad Boys name, reproduces the early 1990s flagship 911. Solid diecast weight and a clean black finish make it a strong standalone piece for a classic Porsche Turbo collection.

A black 964 Turbo needs no racing number to make an impression, and Minichamps leans into that with a naming nod that gives this diecast its own identity on the shelf.

Minichamps' Finish on a Flagship 911

The 964 generation brought Porsche's classic 911 silhouette into a more modern chassis, and the Turbo model, with its distinctive whale-tail rear wing and wide arches, remains one of the most recognisable Porsches of its era. Minichamps' diecast build gives real weight in hand, and the black paint, a genuine test of finish quality since it hides nothing, holds even depth without patchy clear coat under direct light. Panel gaps around the engine cover and doors stay tight for the tier, and the wing and arch flares are moulded with the crispness that separates a considered diecast from a mass-toy shell. At 1:18, roughly 24 centimetres long including the rear wing, the proportions carry real shelf presence.

A Recognisable Edition for a Classic Silhouette

The "Bad Boys" naming points to the black 964 Turbo's screen appearances in period action cinema, giving this particular finish a cultural hook beyond the car's own considerable reputation. Whether or not a buyer cares about the film connection, the 964 Turbo stands on its own as a milestone 911, the last air-cooled Turbo generation before Porsche moved to water cooling. Displayed alongside other 911 generations, it marks a clear point in the model's evolution, and the black finish contrasts well against brighter liveries elsewhere on the shelf.
