Norev's Diecast Handling of the DS Shape

The DS's flowing, aerodynamic bodywork, with its narrow rear track and sweeping roofline, is a genuinely difficult shape to tool accurately, and Norev's casting holds the curves along the wings and boot without the flattening a lesser die would introduce. The doors open to reveal the Pallas cabin's more upscale trim, distinct from the standard DS interior, while the exterior paint shows real depth in the Orient Blue finish under direct light. Panel gaps around the doors sit within normal diecast tolerance for a shape this curved, and the distinctive single-spoke steering wheel and dashboard layout are picked out clearly through the open door aperture.

The DS 23 Pallas as the Range's Final Flagship

By the time the DS 23 arrived in the early 1970s, the model had been in production for close to two decades, and the Pallas trim represented its most fully developed, best-equipped form before Citroen ended the run in 1975.
