Before M badges appeared on saloons and coupes, there was the M1, and this red Norev diecast represents the car that made that whole division possible.

Norev's Diecast Build and This Copy's Condition

The zinc alloy body gives this M1 genuine weight, and Norev's tooling holds the low, wedge-shaped proportions and pop-up headlights that mark Giorgetto Giugiaro's design as unmistakably late-1970s. Doors and bonnet open to show the mid-mounted straight-six engine bay and cabin trim, and the red paint carries a deep, even gloss that suits the car's sharp, angular surfacing without overwhelming it. This is a used model, and its outer box shows traces of storage rather than factory-fresh presentation, though the casting itself carries no such wear.
