With doors, bonnet and boot all functional, this Schuco casting operates differently from a fixed-body model: each panel swings on a proper hinge, letting a collector pose the car open on a shelf to show off the front luggage compartment and the rear-mounted air-cooled engine, both genuine 911 hallmarks. That mechanical complexity brings slightly wider tolerances at the panel edges than a sealed casting would hold, a fair trade for the interior access it provides.
