About the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo III Scotia White Otto 1:18

TL;DR: Otto's 1:18 resin Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III reproduces the mid-1990s rally homologation sedan in Scotia White, over a sealed body. Brand new and boxed. A crisp, honestly finished tribute to an early Evolution generation.

The Evolution III sharpened the aerodynamics and turbo output of Mitsubishi's homologation sedan, building directly on lessons learned from the earlier Evo I and II in the fight against Subaru's Impreza on gravel and asphalt alike.

Resin Detail on the Otto Evo III

Cast resin captures the Evo III's boxy wheel arches and revised front bumper with sharper edge definition than a diecast alternative would allow at this scale. The body is sealed, so the whole reproduction happens on the exterior: the enlarged rear spoiler and bonnet vents are cast in fine relief, and the shut lines run tight and consistent across the body. Scotia White, a clean, understated finish typical of period Japanese performance sedans, is applied evenly under direct light, letting the car's boxy silhouette and purposeful stance speak for themselves without a flashy colour to distract. The lightweight alloy wheels and lowered ride height are both reproduced with genuine accuracy. Being new and boxed, the model shows no handling wear at all, its edges and paint as crisp as the mould left them.

An Early Evolution for a JDM Shelf

The Evolution III represents an important early step in the Lancer Evo's development, predating the more famous Tommi Mäkinen Edition covered elsewhere in this range, and collectors tracing the model's full generational history will find it a genuinely useful addition. At a compact sedan footprint typical of 1990s JDM performance cars, it pairs naturally with contemporary Subaru Impreza and Evo IV entries, and resin construction at this tier suits the car's sharp, purposeful surfacing well.
