AMG built the Black Series line to be the uncompromising end of each model range, and the SLS Black Series took that brief further than most, stripping weight and adding aero on top of a car already built around gullwing doors.

Capturing a Widened, Track-Focused Body in Diecast

The Black Series bodywork sits noticeably wider than a standard SLS AMG, with flared arches and a fixed rear wing that a model maker has to reproduce precisely or the whole silhouette reads wrong. Minichamps' zinc alloy build handles that flared width without softening the character lines, and the Daytona Blue Metallic paint shows real depth under direct light, catching the arch contours in a way flatter colours would not.
