About the Chevrolet Corvette C4 Grand Sport Admiral Blue GT Spirit 1:18

TL;DR: GT Spirit's 1:18 resin reproduces the 1996 Chevrolet Corvette C4 Grand Sport in Admiral Blue with its signature white racing stripe, the special edition that closed out C4 production while honouring the original 1963 Grand Sport racers. Sealed resin construction renders that iconic colour combination with sharp, consistent lines.

Chevrolet chose Admiral Blue with a white centre stripe deliberately, a direct callback to the handful of Grand Sport racers built decades earlier, giving this final-year C4 special edition genuine historical intent rather than an arbitrary colour choice.

Sealed Resin Precision on a Signature Stripe

The white racing stripe running the length of this Corvette's bodywork is the single detail that has to be flawless for the whole subject to work, since any wobble or bleed along its edges undermines the entire tribute. Sealed resin construction gives GT Spirit's tooling an advantage here, holding a straight, crisp stripe edge that diecast's opening-panel tolerances would make harder to guarantee consistently. The C4's muscular rear haunches and wide rear tyres, hallmarks of the Grand Sport package, are rendered with the compound-curve precision resin handles particularly well, though as with any resin piece, no doors or bonnet open on this model.

A Final-Year Tribute to Corvette Racing History

The Grand Sport name carries genuine racing pedigree from Chevrolet's earliest competition efforts, and reviving it for the C4's final model year gave enthusiasts a proper send-off for a generation that had run for well over a decade. This isn't a generic special-edition Corvette; it's a specifically referenced tribute.

For a muscle car or Corvette lineage shelf, this Grand Sport closes the C4 chapter with genuine historical weight.
