About the Alpine GTA V6 Turbo White Otto 1:18

TL;DR: Otto Mobile's 1:18 resin Alpine GTA V6 Turbo reproduces the 1986 French sports coupe in white, cast as a fixed one-piece body. This is a used model, and the box shows traces of storage while the casting itself is intact. A niche subject for collectors of French sports-car heritage.

The GTA continued Alpine's tradition of lightweight, rear-engine sports coupes, wrapping a turbocharged V6 in a fibreglass body designed for genuine aerodynamic efficiency rather than showroom drama. Otto Mobile's resin cast honours that low-key ambition.

Resin Casting and the Fixed Body of the Alpine GTA

The GTA's original fibreglass body was itself a composite shape, and resin is arguably the more faithful medium for reproducing it, since both materials favour smooth compound curves over the crisper edges a stamped die produces. As a fixed one-piece casting, this model's low nose, curved rear glass and integrated bumpers read as one continuous form, exactly how the original coupe presented on the road. The white paint sits with genuine depth across those curved panels, and the shutlines around the pop-up headlamps and door edges stay tight and even. This is a used example, and the box shows traces of storage, the ordinary wear a carton picks up on a shelf over time; the casting itself shows none of that. Alpine subjects rarely appear from major diecast manufacturers, which is exactly the gap specialists like Otto Mobile fill.

The GTA's Place in Alpine's Sports-Car Story

Built as the successor to the A310, the GTA carried Alpine's rear-engine philosophy into the mid-1980s with a genuinely aerodynamic shape and a turbocharged PRV V6 for real pace. It gave Renault-owned Alpine a coupe capable of holding its own against rivals from more famous marques, on a fraction of their budgets.

Where the GTA Fits a French Sports-Car Shelf

Displayed beside a Renault 5 Turbo or Peugeot 205 Turbo 16, the GTA rounds out a French performance-car theme most collections overlook. Its sealed body needs nothing beyond dusting, and the white finish shows well under most display lighting.
