The Renault 5 Turbo turned a humble city car into a mid-engined rally weapon, but competing at the top level also depended on the unglamorous assistance cars that ferried spares and mechanics between stages.

Both bodies in this set are sealed, so the detail lives entirely on the exterior, and resin casting suits both very different subjects well: the 5 Turbo's bulging rear arches and vented flanks demand the sharp edges resin holds better than diecast, while the 30's boxy saloon proportions benefit from the same clean, uninterrupted panel lines. Ragnotti's number and period sponsor livery are applied with clean registration across the rally car, and the Renault 30's more subdued assistance-team markings are reproduced with equal care. Lighter in the hand than diecast equivalents, both castings still convey their very different characters, one purposeful and low, the other practical and upright.
